Course Structure

The course is delivered over 10 days in two 5 day segments, culminating in 2 written examinations and a workplace project. Your examinations will be held on a separate date shortly after the two weeks study. The examination comprises two 2-hour written papers and a practical assessment. Each written paper consists of one ‘long-answer’ question and ten ‘short-answer’ questions. All questions are compulsory. A practical work-based assignment completes the assessment. The assessment is a health and safety inspection. You will need to arrange a workplace in which to undertake this – most candidates choose their place of work. The assessment will need to be completed within 2 weeks of the written examination date.

Certification

Delegates are awarded the official NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health on successful completion and passing of the NEBOSH exams and project. Certificates are forwarded by NEBOSH approximately 12 weeks after the completion of the course although results are usually issued within eight weeks.
Did you know? By completing the IOSH Managing Safely course prior to undertaking this qualification, you will have a better underpinning knowledge of the core subject; therefore make you better prepared for your NEBOSH studies!
Continuing Professional Development Successful completion of the NEBOSH certificate meets the academic requirements for Technician status with IOSH and associate membership of IIRSM.

At DGA Safety we are not solely interested in teaching our delegates to pass exams. We also strive to provide the deeper knowledge and understanding required in order to manage better and work more safely. Our whole team trains and supports our students throughout the course, not just 9 to 5. The happy by-product is the feedback we receive – see our testimonials.
